CATWOMAN hints from Halle
A Catwoman fansite has posted the transcript of Halle Berry’s appearance on last night’s LATE SHOW with David Letterman. Halle apparently started talking about Catwoman right off the bat. Here is part of the transcript
Letterman: If she has no super-human powers, then why do they call her Catwoman? Why isn’t she just someone who lives next door?
Halle: Well...because she can do, what a big cat can do.
David: And how did she discover she could do these cat-like things?
Halle: Well, she dies, like all the other Cat-Women...she dies and is reborn a Cat-Woman. But what’s interesting about the take on this movie, is that we’re not saying that my version of Catwoman is the only Catwoman. She is one of an army (of what we believe) of nine Cat-Women, so we leave room for Eartha Kitt, who was a great Catwoman, and Michelle Pfeifer, who was another awesome Catwoman. And I’m just another Catwoman, because we believe that there are nine.

Steve Martin resurrects The Pink Panther
MGM has been trying to resurrect The Pink Panther franchise for several years now. The property is one of MGMs only big “brands,” so of course they want to get it up and running again. After several failed attempts at getting Mike Myers for the part, MGM has offered the role to Steve Martin. Variety reports that Martin hasn’t commited to the role and that several “sources” report that Martin is not sure he is up to taking on the legendary Peter Sellers role. The project is entitled The Birth of the Pink Panther and is written by Len Blum. The film will be produced by Ivan Reitman.
