Opening The Week of Mar 5
If there is one film that is a MUST-‘Seah’ this week, it is UN PROPHETE, Jacques Audiard’s prison crime saga that is sweeping the world by storm. It won both the Cesar and BAFTA awards for Best Film and is nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the upcoming Oscars. It is also breaking box-office records in London.
Yes, and I have seen the film twice. It is the Best French film of 2009 – hands down. Also screening in Toronto is Cine-Jeune, French films depicting the heroism and courage of youth. Lovers of French films are in for a major treat this weekend! Bon Cinema!
