This Week's Film Reviews (May 2)
The opening of IRON MAN marks the beginning of the Hollywood blockbuster season. The Marvel comic adaptation opens in as many theatres as possible with extra showing added so that it can break as many box-office records possible. Also opening are MADE OF HONOUR and the Canadian drama FUGITIVE PIECES.

Opening The Week of Apr 18th
The huge HOT DOCS documentary film festival starts in Toronto this week. Lots of good stuff to view here. The funniest film I have seen this year opens this week: “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. From the comedians who made “Knocked Up”, “The 40-YearYear Old Virgin” and “Superbad”. This one I highly recommend!!!!

Hot Docs 2008 - Toronto
15th Annual HOT DOCS 2008
HOT DOCS begins this week as does my vacation which oddly coincides with the documentary film festival. However, I managed to put together capsule reviews of a few films I previewed including the opening film ANVIL! THE STORY OF ANVIL which must be seen by any aspiring musician or band.
HOT DOCS runs from April 17th -27th with 170 plus docs from around the world.
Here is all the information on attending:-

Opening The Week of Apr 11th
Nothing specially interesting opening this week. However, in Toronto, Sprockets - a film festival for children is running as well as Romanian New Wave cinema. The latter is a sure bet for excellent, quirky and entertaining films.
Also at the Bloor Wed. late is the special screening of “L’Interieur” (Inside) *****.
