Yamato To Blast From Hollywood
Hollywood Reporter reported that Japanese classic anime series Yamato aka Star Blazers to be a latest anime-live action adaptation. It is a series that changed the face of anime in Japan in 70’s (its patriotic theme that everyone sacrifices for someone in the line of duty thingie) and the theme song is hold best anime song ever title in Japan. I don’t really know if this would actually happens as so many anime-live action films have been announced by Hollywood studios and nothing happened (notably Akira and Evangelion). I sure don’t wanna see it. It’s good as is and does’t need to be messed around with. Maybe they thought they can turn this into a new Battlestar Galactia to make quick bucks…

American Il Mare Trailer
From the look of it, this Lake House doesn’t have all the sentinental bittersweetness that the original Korean film did. As you all know the original Il Mare starred Jeon Ji-hyun , the most popular actress in Korea and it is one of the most beautifully crafted romantic film came out, ever. Lake House will open nationwide on June 16th. You can view its trailer at here .

meanwhile, you can check out my review of the film here
Wicked City Live Action!?
Seriously...do we really need this? Or my question is how anyone can make it without being a porn…
Variety reported that the sci-fi action/horror with beasts from another dimension that rape girls with their tentacles will be made into a live action film by a production company Stallion. And the budget is between $50 Millions and $60 Millions.
For those who aren’t familiar with this anime, The original books were written by Hideyuki Kikuchi in 80’s and turned into anime series. This is the one anime that really started those wierd sexual anime thingie that was a topic of Assaya’s film Demonlovers.
We don’t need this just as much as we don’t need live action versions of Akira and Evangelion!
