Folks at Tratan Films send us links to their most anticipated film of this year, Sympathy For Lady Vengeance. This will be one of the best films to open this year in th US. The film will open May 5th in selected cities. I know most folks will go see MI:3 on May 5th but if you live in a city where they have a screening for it, be sure to check it out.

That’s right, folks. VOLTRON is coming to DVD thank to Media Blasters. The box set will street beginning in September. I know this is one of the most popular anime titles in America possibly below Eva and Gundam. Well, this box and Hollywood film version on its way, Voltron will kick some serious butt this year. 

Sometime ago I posted about a brand new “Sukeban Deka” film, starring J=pop idol Matsuura Aya and will be directed by Fukasaku Kenta of Battle Royale 2. THE PROMISE (Wu Ji)’s the US one-sheet is revealed. The film stars Jang Dong-kun, Cecilia Cheung, and Hiroyuki Sanada and directed by Kaige Chen. The film is distributed in the US by Warner Independent and is set to be theatrically released in May.

THE HOST is the latest from Korean director Bong Joon-Ho (MEMORIES OF MURDER). Judging by the title THE HOST, one can only hope the film is about either some monsters or some creatures, right?
The film is about a monster! the monster in Seoul’s Han River that terrorizes the locals. On top of that WETA is doing the special effect to bring the monster to life!! The film scheduled to open this july in Korea.
