Daisy Images!!!
As you all know, DAISY is one of the most anticipated film to come out this year. Cinemaeye/Asian Fever favorite Jeon Ji-hyun’s latest film, DAISY is. The film is the product of a collaboration of high-profile actors and production crews from Korea and China: director Andrew Lau (INITIAL D, INFERNAL AFFAIRS) and Kwak Jae-yong (SASSY GIRL, WINDSTRUCK), the production crew of INFERNAL AFFAIRS, the martial arts team of SPIDERMAN. The film is about the inevitable showdown between a detective and a killer who fall in love with the same woman. Lovely Jeon plays a street artist who dreams of opening her own exhibition someday, while Jeong (A MOMENT TO REMEMBER) portrays a killer who loves her but cannot confess his love to her because of his profession.
DAISY is being filmed in the Netherlands and will open this December. If this is not on your must-see list of 2005, you absolutely need to add it.

Revenge Of The Otaku
Once in a while there is a film that comes out of nowhere and shakes up the whole country. The film becomes sudden trend that even non film geeks know about a thing or two. We have one this year. The film is called DENSYAOTOKO (THE TRAIN MAN lit. translation) is causing a huge storm in Japan now. What is the film about? It’s based on a true story that posted on website about a nerd resuces a beauty from a pervert on a train and falls in love. He doesn’t know what to do (he gave up on women since he is a true anime nerd and well, no ladies in Japan wants that) so he asks his buddies online for help. He doesn’t know her name so he calls her Hermes. Does he gets the girl? How? The book was released last october and it was a surprise hit and they made a film right away. Now it will be a TV seires (starring beautiful Misaki Ito as Hermes) as well as a live show in theaters. The film, or I should say the story gives so much hope for geeks who has never hold a girl’s hand before. Move over REVENGE OF THE NERDS. DENSYAOTOKO will be the ultimate film for nerds who is so nerdy that only girlfriend you will ever have is anime pillow. Here is the official DENSYAOTOKO website .
