fourth annual New York Asian Film Festival is hotter than ever. Total 31 films from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thai, India, Philippines, and China will be playing throughout the festival. Here are must-see films of this year.

Despite the fact that they haven’t produced anything really spooky since 2003’s A Tale of Two Sisters, markets and demand for horror is still strong in Korea. Last year’s effort, DOLL MASTER, DEAD FRIEND, FACE and R-POINT were highlight of Korean Horror but all of them came very short on spook and creepiness. This summer, we have THe RED SHOES which is inspired by a Hans Christian Andersen fairytale entitled “The Red Shoes” and VOICE the fourth installment of the Whispering Corridors series. Hope these aredecent enough to keep our Asian Horror craving going.

Gamera will be back on big screen after absence for 6 long years. Gamera will be turning 40 this year and Kadokawa is going full force to resurrect the Guardian of the Universe. story is basically Gamera growing up among kids. the principal photography starts end of June and it will hit theaters in Japan next spring. Perhaps successs of Godzilla Final War made this possible.

According to chosun.com, Lady, the world’s first manufactured transgender band, are releasing a nude photo album!

Countless hot female stars have taken it off for the camera, but this is the first time in Korea that a band of transssexuals will be appearing in what are no longer in thier god given form!

They were photographed amid much secrecy in Thailand’s transsexual mecca Pattaya, home of an annual ladyboy beauty contest, between April 19 and April 23. Title of the book, well it is Women, reflect! - the album throws down the gauntlet to born women, with the implication that all of these former men have worked so hard on their bodies that they can now stand comparison with internationally famous models.

The group did some soul-searching before doing the album before they can show work of art. Ladies quoted “We thought it would be an opportunity for us to get recognition as real women. We ask that you think of the photographs as works of art.”

CJ Entertainment finally announced the official theatrical release date for the final installment in Park Chan-wook’s vengeance trilogy, SYMPATHY FOR LADY VENGEANCE. It will hit theatres in Korea on July 29th. That means we will see DVD coming out before the end of year.
