Kite Live Action?

First of all, how does this guy keep getting all the big budget project off the ground? Has anyone seen XXX or FAST and FURIOUS or even worse STEALTH? Maybe nobody has. Thats is why. Rob Cohen will produce the live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime KITE. Mexican directors Jorge and Javier Aguilera will direct (I don’t know who they are). It is about a young woman whose parents have been murdered is taken in by a corrupt detective. She get trained to exact street justice against the detective’s chosen targets, then turns herself against him. Now I haven’ seen the original anime of KITE but as for any anime, I’m sure it is stylistically cool with violence and sex.
For anime fans, at least he isn’t directing the film. For everyone else, we can put it on not to see list alreday for 2006.
