Sick but brilliant HIGH TENSION clip
Another HIGH TENSION (HAUTE TENSION) clip has been released and this one is definitely not safe for work. Unfortunately, it’s only available in sucky Windows Media, but I think this one is worth it.

ME AND YOU AND EVERYONE WE KNOW trailer
Miranda July’s debut feature ME AND YOU AND EVERYONE WE KNOW has been the critical and audience hit on the festival circuit. Roger Ebert declared it the best movie he saw at Sundance this year. Now it’s been picked up by IFC for theatrical release. This movie has so much buzz going for it, that I was beginning to wonder if it could live up to it. This trailer seems like a step in the right direction. It will start it’s limited release in June.

Full WAR OF THE WORLDS trailer
There have been a slew of teaser trailers for Steven Spielberg’s WAR OF THE WORLDS, but this is the final full-length U.S. trailer. You have probably already seen most of this footage, but there are a few new glimpses of the alien tripod things as well as new scenes of destruction. I am pretty primed to see this movie.

Final ISLAND trailer released
I love Michael Bay movies. I’m probably the only person on the internet who will admit it, but there it is. I’m not saying they’re great examples of cinema, but I have to give credit where credit is due. Michael Bay movies are the pinnacle of big dumb ultra-slick entertainment (with lots of explosions). Now, THE ISLAND throws Scarlett Johannsen and Ewan McGregor into the mix. I am definitely there. Here’s a new trailer that shows even more of the slickness.

New Trailer round-up
You may have already seen some of these, but I wanted to point out some cool trailers that hit the web while we were on hiatus.
International BATMAN BEGINS trailer
This is probably the best of all the BATMAN BEGINS trailers yet. It’s the one on the far right with the Bat-shuriken stuck into the wall.
NARNIA trailer
This looks really good until all the CGI madness starts. Maybe the CGI isn’t complete, but it looks like PHANTOM MENACE era stuff. The creatures and production design look awesome though.
THE BAD NEWS BEARS
This one has been up for awhile, but I am really excited about this movie: Billy Bob in BAD SANTA mode, cute kids, sports and Richard Linklater who has already proved he knows this territory with SCHOOL OF ROCK.
