Harry Potter posters from Thailand
I love movie poster artwork - especially posters from other countries. Here is a series of character based posters from Thailand to promote HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE. I think these are pretty cool, expecially the crazy looking Thai version of the logo. If you’ve read the book, you’re recognize that each of these posters does a pretty good job at hinting what happens to these characters over the course of the story. Click for a larger version or go straight to the HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE image gallery.

First look at CLERKS 2
Director Kevin Smith has been trying to keep a tight lid on CLERKS 2, so as to keep expectations very low about the project. But after he noticed some people taking pictures on-set, he decided to go ahead and issue the first official image from the production. Pictured above are Trevor Fehrman, Brian O’Halloran, Rosario Dawson and Jeff Anderson and they are working at the fast food restaurant Mooby’s which has appeared in several of Smith’s other films. Smith talks more about the photo and the circumstances surrounding it on his blog Silent Bob Speaks.

Howard Shore leaves KING KONG
Academy Award-winning composer Howard Shore (LORD OF THE RINGS) has left KING KONG. He has been replaced by James Newton Howard (THE SIXTH SENSE, BATMAN BEGINS). In an official statement issued by Universal Studios, KONG director Peter Jackson said:
I have greatly enjoyed my collaborations with Howard Shore, whose musical themes made immeasurable contributions to the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. During the last few weeks, Howard and I came to realize that we had differing creative aspirations for the score of KING KONG. Rather than waste time arguing with a friend and trying to unify our points of view, we decided amicably to let another composer score the film. I’m looking forward to working with James Newton Howard, a composer whose work I’ve long admired, and I thank Howard Shore, whose talent is surpassed only by his graciousness.

SERENITY tops U.K. box office
Joss Whedon’s SERENITY didn’t exactly burn up the charts here in the United States, despite its healthy fan following and positive critical reaction. In the U.K. however, it’s at the top of the charts. Here are the Top 5 movies in the U.K. last week according to the BBC.
1. Serenity
2. Pride and Prejudice
3. Oliver Twist
4. A History of Violence
5. Kinky Boots
Of course this is all going to change when WALLACE AND GROMIT hits U.K. screens this weekend, but it’s still a little bit of cool news for SERENITY. You can watch the first 9 minutes of SERENITY online by clicking here.

Vaginal FOG
AdRants seems to think the creators of this ad are using blatant sexual innuendo. I don’t know what they’re talking about but suddenly I want to see THE FOG.
