SIN CITY comes to TV

image

Moviehole reports that SIN CITY is coming to the small screen. The series will be produced by the Weinstein Company but so far there’s no word which characters or storyline the series will follow. It’s hard to imagine SIN CITY without exposed breasts and excessive violence, but it could work as a great series for HBO or FX. Meanwhile, the start date for SIN CITY 2 has been pushed back. According to Jessica Alba: “[Robert] wants to do SIN CITY 2 after [GRINDHOUSE], but Frank is like a big Hollywood star now. I had dinner with him, and he has some cool ideas about Nancy. He might work on the graphic novel and then release it simultaneously.”

TRANSFORMERS movie picks up speed

image

IESB has scored a video interview with writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman who have just finished up ZORRO and are now in the process of tackling the live-action TRANSFORMERS movie. Some cool details include:

  • Optimus Prime will probably not die in the first film as he did in the animated movie.
  • Megatron will probably be a tank!
  • Producer Don Murphy wants to use the original voice cast instead of famous actors
  • The writers would love to show the Cybertron (homeworld of the Transformers).

Head over to IESB and check out the full video interview for more Transformers news.

CREEPSHOW 3 teaser

image

I’ve heard rumblings about CREEPSHOW 3 but haven’t paid much attention to them until now. After viewing the laughably terrible and cheap-looking “teaser" for CREEPSHOW 3, it’s hard to believe that the original CREEPSHOW was a major release written by Stephen King and directed by George Romero. When I was a young kid, that movie was one of the ultimate horror movies. But this like most of the other properties Romero helped launch has fallen into the hands of bottom feeders. Go check out the “teaser” at the official CREEPSHOW 3 site and let us know what you think via the comments.

Angelina Jolie in BOND?

image
The Guardian reports that Angelina Jolie might be the newest Bond girl. Unconfirmed rumors have her in negotiations to play Vesper Lynd, a Russian double agent in CASINO ROYALE. This would reunite her with her TOMB RAIDER co-star Daniel Craig, who has been cast as the new James Bond.
