Matthew Vaughn quits X-Men 3
He was a surprising choice from the very beginning and now director Matthew Vaughn has quit X-MEN 3. Vaughn decision was reportedly based on his not wanting to move his family to the United States for an entire year. The director was hired based on his critically acclaimed debut film LAYER CAKE. Vaughn has already done quite a bit to put his own imprint on the franchise including the controversial casting of Kelsey Grammer as The Beast. Fox is searching for a new director and is still commited to a May 26, 2006 release date.

THE DEVILS REJECTS are here
We’ve scored a sneak peek at Rob Zombie’s THE DEVILS REJECTS courtesy of Lion’s Gate Films. This is definitely NOT SAFE FOR WORK (or for sensitive audiences). But if this is just a teaser clip, I can only imagine what the full film is going to be like.

Richard Linklater talks FAST FOOD NATION
As was announced a few weeks ago, director Richard Linklater is developing a movie based on Eric Schlossers non-fiction FAST FOOD NATION. Since that announcement there has been a lot of speculation as to how he is going to handle the material. In a recent interview with EMPIRE, Linklater went into a little more detail.
Richard Linklater: Eric Schlosser and I, we wrote the script, kind of based on a town in Colorado where all the various sides are represented. It’s sort of the human effects of that industry; I guess that’s how you’d describe it… It’s about the teenagers who work at the fast food places, and immigrant labourers who come across the border, working in the packing plants, and an executive. It’s kind of from different perspectives. It’s the different sides of the fast food industry. Yet another one that’s kind of tricky to put together as a film, but it looks like it’s happening. I’m pretty skeptical of the whole food industry, so it should be interesting."

Chris Rock wants to do POOTIE TANG 2
Moviehole reports that there is a small chance that the modern cult-classic POOTIE TANG may get a sequel. Here’s what Chris Rock has to say about it: “We keep talking about it. I don’t know, man. Start a club. Get some people to sign a petition. It’s weird. There are some people who love Pootie Tang and then there are other people who hate Pootie Tang with a passion and want to destroy Mr. Tang. But I would love to do another Pootie Tang. I live to do another Pootie Tang. So it could happen.” Sepotown!
