First photos from Eli Roth's HOSTEL
Aint it Cool has scored a few pics from Eli Roth’s upcoming HOSTEL. This is the director’s follow-up to the cult-hit CABIN FEVER and promises to be an even more intense and horrifying flick. Roth is intentionally paying homage to Japanese director Takashi Miike and has even gone so far as to cast Miike as a role in the film. Some of these images are not safe for work so view them at your own risk.

Download NOSFERATU for free!
F.W. Murnau’s NOSFERATU has been added permanently to the Internet Archive where it can be freely downloaded. It’s available in different resolutions and you can either download it or stream it. This is pretty cool if you ask me. NOSFERATU is one of those movie that has continued to fascinate me in the years since I first saw it. It still manages to pack quite a punch. Greylodge has an article about the history of the film as well as links to all the different download formats. This is the movie that copyright lawyers could not destroy. Now you can get it for free.

STAR WARS prequels vs. Original Trilogy
Rotten Tomatoes has published an interesting article that compares critics reviews of the original STAR WARS trilogy vs. the prequel trilogy. The writers of the article actually went to libraries and found out-of-print reviews from the time the original films were released to more accurately compare. The results are pretty interesting. REVENGE OF THE SITH comes out pretty favorably no matter how you slice it.

SIN CITY 2: A DAME TO KILL FOR
While at the Cannes Film Festival, SIN CITY director Robert Rodriguez let a few details slip about the next SIN CITY film. It will be based on A DAME TO KILL FOR. The graphic novel is technically a prequel to the events of the first film and features a lot of the same characters including Mickey Rourke’s Marv. This story focuses on Dwight, played by Clive Owen, before the face lift that was mentioned briefly in the first film.
Rodriguez hopes to reunite as much of the original cast as possible. “We’d always thought Dame to Kill For was the story [for the sequel],” the director told Reuters. “It has all the characters. Mickey’s in it. Clive is in it. So it would be great to bring everybody back.”
