Weekend Box-Office >> MADAGASCAR #1
This weeks new releases weren’t powerful enough to make much of a dent. The animated MADAGASCAR managed to snag first place in it’s sophomore week. STAR WARS EPISODE III was barely edged out of 2nd place by THE LONGEST YARD. This weekend SWIII became the 18th highest grossing movie of all time. It should enter the top 10 by next week. CINDERELLA MAN opened with a disappointing $18.6 million, but seeing as the movie has been marketed to geriatrics, it should have some staying power at the box office.

Advance BATMAN BEGINS review from Sandy Collora
Batman fanatics are probably already familiar with Sandy Collora. Jessica Simpson washes the General Lee
So you still think the DUKES OF HAZZARD movie looks like a waste of your time? I’m hanging on to a slim thread of hope that this will be the ultimate low-brow, bad taste, white trash, car crashing movie of the year. Now we have some photos that only lend credence to my theory. These were sent to us by an “anonymous scooper” (which means it was probably a P.R. flack with a hotmail account) and depict Daisy Duke (Jessica Simpson) giving a bubble bath to the General Lee… in a bikini! These are not from the movie themselves, but from a music video that will be released concurrently and which will no doubt be included on the DVD. Enjoy!

ASIAN FEVER now daily
Regular visitors will have noticed some tinkering with the layout and navigation of Cinema Eye. One of the new features I’d like to point your attention to is the new ASIAN FEVER section. You may remember a monthly ASIAN FEVER column from awhile back. It was so popular we decided to expand it into its very own section. ASIAN FEVER focuses on Asian cinema and pop culture. It is written by Cinema Eye regular Shogo. Make sure you check it out every day.
