Tony Jaa's workout routine
In case you wondered how ONG BAK‘s Tony Jaa stays in great physical shape, we now have the answer. It’s not from lifting weights or any of those tricks puny white people try. His exercise technique consists of meditation, kickboxing moves and jumping on the backs of his pet elephants. No joke! The truth is revealed in the April 2005 GQ Magazine.
"Right now I have two elephants at home, and I practice jumping from one elephant to the other to hone my balance. I can kick a pad that’s eleven feet in the air, but the power isn’t all in my legs. The art of muay Thai is as much a mental as a physical discipline. If I meditate and convince myself that I can do something, I usually can."

Wes Anderson directs DASANI commercials
Wes Anderson will follow-up THE LIFE AQUATIC with a four 30-second commercials for DASANI. The commercials feature oversized sets and actors wearing schlocky animal costumes. Anderson spent 2 days filming the $1 million project. The spots will start airing next week with high profile media buys including during the NCAA tournament on CBS.

Ben Affleck news: Die Hard, Superman, Gone Baby Gone
When you consider how Ben Affleck started out, it’s kid of amazing how much dislike there is for the guy right now. I am guilty of it. I think he has delivered some amazingly bad performances and made some bad decisions both professionally and in his public life. But watching PROJECT GREENLIGHT kind of makes me like the guy a little. If he picks the right projects I think he still has a slim chance at turning his career around. Here’s what he has planned next:

X-MEN 3 news: Cyclops out?
Fox confirmed today that Guy Ritchie producer Matthew Vaughn (LAYER CAKE) will be directing X-MEN 3. Other confirmations: Hugh Jackman is IN. Negotations are under way for Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan and Halle Berry. New mutants will include Gambit, Beast and Angel.
No mention is made of James Marsden or Cyclops which indicates that his character may be written out of the film or recast. Rumors indicate that the studio was not happy at all with Marsden’s decision to take a role in X-director Bryan Singer’s SUPERMAN RETURNS. In my opinion, Marsden is an embarassingly weak part of the cast and they would be better of without him.

Thomas Haden Church signed for SPIDEY 3
SIDEWAYS really has resuscitated the career of Thomas Haden Church. He has know been cast as the villain in SPIDER MAN 3. Sony Pictures is still keeping quiet about exactly which villain Church will play, but VENOM is a name that is coming up more and more frequently. The casting of Church actually adds fuel to that rumor because he looks like Venom’s alter-ego Eddie Brock. Sounds good to us. (AICN has their money on Sandman as the villain, we’ll see.)
