It was announced last month that New Line would be releasing the extended editions of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers in theaters to get audiences primed for the final installment Return of the King. To make things even cooler, select theaters will host an Extended Edition Movie Marathon on December 16th. If you are a die-hard fan with hard-core stamina this is probably a dream come true. I can only imagine the Hobbit-stench that will be wafting from those theaters by the time the day is over.

Here is a list of theaters. Tickets go on sale October 9th. Due to the limited number of theaters this thing has a good chance at selling out so get your tickets early. For more information check out the official site.
