Matthew Vaughn quits X-Men 3
He was a surprising choice from the very beginning and now director Matthew Vaughn has quit X-MEN 3. Vaughn decision was reportedly based on his not wanting to move his family to the United States for an entire year. The director was hired based on his critically acclaimed debut film LAYER CAKE. Vaughn has already done quite a bit to put his own imprint on the franchise including the controversial casting of Kelsey Grammer as The Beast. Fox is searching for a new director and is still commited to a May 26, 2006 release date.
