1. JASON EISENER’S HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN OPENS MARCH 25! WIN 1 OF 15 DOUBLE PASSES TO SEE IT FIRST!

Four years ago a young Canadian filmmaker called Jason Eisener took youtube by storm with an ultraviolent exploitation spoof trailer HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN about an angry homeless man hellbent on delivering justice one shell at a time. A year later he followed that hit with another, TREEVENGE, a deranged fable about killer Christmas Trees in Halifax which went on to win BEST SHORT FILM at Toronto After Dark 2008 and many other film festivals.  Now Jason’s back with his long-awaited feature film debut of HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN starring cult actor RUTGER HAUER (THE HITCHER, BLADE RUNNER). 6. TORONTO AFTER DARK FILM FESTIVAL RETURNS THIS HALLOWEEN SEASON!

Behind the scenes, all of us freaks and geeks who work for Toronto After Dark Film Festival are already hard at work on our 6th Annual Edition. For 2011, in response to overwhelming fan demand, the festival of thrills and chills returns to Halloween Season for the first time in three years.

This year’s Toronto After Dark takes over the legendary Bloor Cinema for 8 thrilling nights of cinematic mayhem OCTOBER 20-27, 2011.  Fans attending previous years’ festivals have been the first to see such awesome new genre films as THE LAST EXORCISM, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, DEAD SNOW, REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA, BLACK DYNAMITE and ROBOGEISHA to name but a few! Who knows what we’ll be premiering first for fans in the city this Fall?  Be sure to block this OCT 20-27 in your schedule, as you won’t want to miss it!
