James Bond 007 Definitely Shaken and Stirred

February 20th, 2006 by Chris Blagden

James Bond 007 Actor Daniel Craig

More James Bond news and this time a hard smack in the teeth for the new 007, Daniel Craig. Just acting can be a very dangerous business, never mind the world of espionage and intelligence. It now seems that just acting out a role these days brings its own dangerous hazards. New James Bond actor Daniel Craig knows exactly what we mean. Filming the remake of Casino Royale, Craig was definitely left shaken when two front teeth were knocked out during a bout of hand to hand fighting.

According to the UK tabloid ‘The Sunday Mirror’, it was a fellow actor who did the damage. Whether Craig just got too close or simply got stuck in as Bond we may never know, however a member of the on set staff reportedly said, “Daniel was filming with some minor actors when he got hit in the face. He was reeling from a heavy blow and staggered back holding his face. He put his hand to his mouth but the blood started to seep through his fingers - it was horrible.”

In movie land a mere hit in the face is nothing that 007 can’t deal with of that we are certain, it is not the first time or the last that a 007 takes a beating, nevertheless back in the real world Daniel Craig needed to fly his London dentist to all the way over Prague, where the filming of Casino Royal is currently underway.

Craig was fitted with caps that adhere to his broken teeth and provided with special gum shields to keep them intact next time the fists come up.
If we know Mr. Bond, he will take it all in his stride.
