Eh! U Audience Award Winner

Toronto – Eh!U European Film Festival is pleased to announce the winner of the 2009 Magna Audience Award, Little Robbers, Latvia (2009), directed by Armands Zvirbulis. Honorary Consul Paul Kuras, Latvia, accepted the award presented by Magna International on the closing night of the Film Festival.
Little Robbers has won several awards at international film festivals including the International Children’s Film Festival “Artek” 2009 (Best Adventure Film Award); Munich Film Festival 2009 (Children’s Audience Award); Riga International Children’s Film Festival “Berimor’s Cinema” 2009 (Winner of Main Prize “Berimor’s Big Pillow”). Zvirbulis born in Riga, Latvia in 1972 has been working in film and television as a director and editor for over 11 years – Little Robbers is his first feature length film.
This year’s Magna award concept was designed by technical trade student, Alex Legaspi, of the Magna Technical Training Centre using high quality materials and precision equipment.
The free Eh!U European Film Festival comes to a close with new success attracting record audiences of almost 9000 attendees and 11 sold out screenings.
