“GREASE” SING-A-LONG WILL OPEN IN TORONTO
SPECIAL EXCLUSIVE ENGAGEMENT AT CINEPLEX SCOTIABANK THEATRE
ON JULY 23 AND JULY 24, 2010
“GREASE” fans everywhere have spoken!
Fans across North America have “demanded” GREASE: SING-A-LONG come to their hometowns. As a result, the digitally re-mastered film will open in Toronto for an Exclusive Engagement at Cineplex Scotiabank on Friday, July 23th and Saturday, July 24th.
“GREASE” Sing-A-Long began playing on July 8th in its first run of exclusive showings in 12 markets across the U.S. The first cities to show the film included: New York, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; San Francisco, CA; Boston, MA; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA; Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, FL; San Diego, CA; Austin, TX; and Ocala, FL.
Paramount Pictures will expand the film to the following five additional cities this Thursday, July 15th: Houston, TX; Orlando, FL; Phoenix, AZ; San Antonio, TX; and Detroit, MI. These additional five cities were selected based on the results of an online poll, with fans across the country “demanding” the musical open in their city. The film is being distributed by Paramount Pictures under the newly created Insurge Pictures label.
