Halo Director Announced
August 10th, 2006 by Chris Blagden
26 year-old video director Neill Blomkamp who is from South Africa has found his first major film - directing the video game inspired and X Box blockbuster ‘Halo.’
The Halo video games chart the battles and experiences of a space marine type character named Master Chief and his companion Cortana as they try to save the galaxy and Earth from alien forces known as the called the Flood.
Halo itself refers to an artificial ring set in space that also serves as a highly destructive weapon, capable of destroying the entire galaxy. In the meantime Halo appears to be a tranquil, peaceful world but not for long.
Microsoft which owns the licensing rights to the Halo franchise was hoping to get the movie rapidly into production to coincide release of the new version of Halo the game in 2007. However the project has taken a lot longer than first anticipated and is now due in cinemas around summer 2008.

Halo is one the the best action games I ever played, I hope the movie is not rushed and made sloppy. It should be as the game a mind blowing action packed ride you want to see again and again.
One love,
M.
