INDIANA JONES 4
September 12th, 2003 by Cinema EyeThe latest issue of PREMIERE has some interesting tidbits about the upcoming fourth film in the INDIANA JONES series.
The script is being written by Frank Darabont with the goal of beginning production in June 2004.
Spielberg admits that there will be CGI effects. While he is a fan of shooting the old-fashioned way, he wants to use digital to keep the aging actors safe and to “keep up with the Joneses, so to speak.”
It seems the desire to do the fourth film came from Harrison Ford himself, who found himself growing nostalgic for the character about three years ago.
George Lucas was feeling to old and crotchety to do a fourth film but was persuaded by the enthusiasm of Ford and Spielberg.
But perhaps more importantly, the original INDY trilogy is available on DVD on October 21st. Pre-order your copy todayl
