Indiana Jones IV Shooting Soon
March 19th, 2006 by Chris Blagden
Once again the Internet rumors suggest that Indiana’s famous whip is getting ready to crack again, this time for the long awaited fourth installment that for so long has been ready to film, then suddenly put on hold or inexplicably delayed.
This on/off filming situation, which has gone on for years has caused a lot of frustration amongst fans of the series, nor is it healthy for the brand with critics suggesting time and time again that Indy actor Harrison Ford maybe too old to carry the role in a credible way. What ever your view or expectations the latest news is that a script has now been agreed and that shooting on Indiana Jones IV will commence very soon.
According to German magazine “Fit for Fun” Harrison Ford has directly confirmed that shooting on the next ‘Indiana Jones’ sequel will begin soon. Harrison Ford and director Steven Spielberg along with producer George Lucas have simply been waiting for the right script to come along. The magazine reports that Ford and Spielberg have now agreed on a script.
‘Indiana Jones 4’ will be the long awaited follow up to ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ released in 1999 which also starred the late River Phoenix as a young Indiana Jones. At Cinema Eye we would love this news to be true along with Indy fans across the world, if more information comes to light we will post it here.
