Lethal Weapon 5 a Possibility?

After a difficult few weeks, more positive news is on the horizon for actor Mel Gibson, with a report in Australian publication “The Daily Telegraph” indicating that Gibson is reputed to be in talks to participate in a relaunch of the “Lethal Weapon” film franchise.
The Lethal Weapon movies first appeared in the late 1980’s and along with Gibson’s Mad Max franchise helped propel the actor to super star status.
The newspaper’s Sydney Confidential section suggests that Mel is set to star in “Lethal Weapon 5”, which would be the final instalment in the Lethal Weapon series - “It wouldn’t hurt on the PR front to give fans another Lethal Weapon” one source said. Mel Gibson however is facing possible jail time after being charged, following being pulled over by police on suspicion of drink driving, see our Mel Gibson Drink Drivingfor more.
The fourth film in the Lethal Weapon series, released back in 1998, was highly publicised as being ‘the final instalment’, although in 2004 Gibson knocked back a whopping $40 million offer to reprise his role of Martin Riggs.
Gibson’s schedule has been cleared following the PR disaster over his arrest the other week, and there’s industry speculation that his “Apocalypto” drama may be postponed until next year to distance itself from the recent media fallout. It is still too early to speculate what level of damage the last few weeks has done to his film career.

All four lethal weapon movies were good, and the LW series is one of the few series that you can actually say that every sequel was good! But a 5th one will ruin the series. Glover is so old now, and the same goes for the rest of the cast. No more!
i think that it would be great for riggs to do one more and finish them off finally.
