Luc Besson to direct DIE HARD 4?
November 22nd, 2005 by Cinema EyeMoviehole reports that casting has begun on DIE HARD 4. The fourth flick in this popular franchise will be produced by Bruce Willis. According to an anonymous studio source, Luc Besson is Willis’ top choice to direct. “Luc Besson is one director’s name being banded around (as well as who did HOSTAGE. I know he has the script and Willis does want to work with Luc again.” If Willis could somehow get Besson involved in this project it could definitely breathe new life into the series. DIE HARD 4 will be shot in Montreal and involves John McClane taking on cyber-terrorists.

That’s kind of confusing wording there from Moviehole. Besson did not direct HOSTAGE, but he did direct Bruce in THE FIFTH ELEMENT. Either would be a great choice for director of DH4, but I hope to God they don’t cast Justin Timberlake as his son.
