MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 3 is a go
June 8th, 2005 by Cinema Eye
Reuters reports that MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 3 finally has a green-light from Paramount pictures. The film will start shooting on July 18th, 2005 which is actually later than the films initial planned release date. The film’s future was in question due to the long and trouble pre-production and Tom Cruise’s recent public freakouts, but this franchise has made way too much money to just kill it off. Instead, Paramount took this as an opportunity to cut the budget by 10% and cut Tom Cruise’s back-end participation substantially. “"We’re thrilled to be embarking on this exciting third MISSION with the amazing talents of Tom Cruise, J.J. Abrams and the whole ‘M:I-3’ team,” said Paramount Pictures honcho Brad Grey.
