Patricia Neal passes away at the age of 84

Oscar winning actress (for HUD) passed away from lung cancer at the age of 84.  Battling a stroke early in her career, she learnt to walk again to continue many roles including her Oscar nominated performance in THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES.

My favourite Patricia Neal films are THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES and IN HARM’S WAY where she played John Wayne’s love interest.

She always played strong women and was one herself in real life.
