P.T. Anderson's next film will be OIL!

Paul Thomas Anderson, who seemingly dropped off the face of the earth following 2002’s PUNCH DRUNK LOVE, announced his new project today. His next film will be OIL! an adaptation of Upton Sinclair’s 1927 novel. This will be the first Anderson film not based on one of his original screenplays. The project has not been placed with a studio yet, but Daniel Day Lewis is believed to have committed to starring in the film. (Via: ptanderson.com)
