Rhona Mitra in Doomsday

Rhona Mitra, former Tomb Raider model and now appearing in Boston legal from ABC has signed on for Rogue Pictures futuristic action thriller “Doomsday”. 

Doomsday is the third film from British horror director Neil Marshall, who in recent years has brought us the excellent horror movies “Dog Soldiers” (Fantastic werewolf flick) and “The Descent” (Don’t get stuck in a cave.) Doomsday is set three decades after a lethal virus brings ruin and despair to a major country, thus ensuring complete isolation from the rest of the world.

When the killer virus, known as the Reaper, suddenly shows up in another country across the world, an elite group is dispatched to the infected country to try and discover a cure for the virus.

There, they end up shut off from the rest of the world and must battle through a desolate landscape that has become a waking nightmare.

Rhona Mitra plays the leader of the special group assigned to beat the Reaper. Production is aiming to begin early next year.
