Under the Baobab Tree - 2D Paper Cut-Out Animation Workshop
NFB Mediatheque – 150 John St.
Inspired by Hélène Ducharme’s play Baobab, presented by Théâtre Français de Toronto on November 20th, children ages 6-13 are invited to animate different exotic animals around the village and hiding within the great baobab tree.
With the assistance of NFB professional facilitators, children will create their own animated film, from start to finish. This hands-on workshop allows children to express their creativity by creating their own stories, and each participant will receive their film by email, to show it again and again to family and friends! The workshop will be conducted in French.
Preceded by a screening of Marianne’s Theatre (pictured above).
The workshop is only $5 per child, and an adult (at no extra charge) must accompany them. To register, and for information, call 416-973-3012.
