TARANTINO: "This CGI bullshit is the death of cinema."
September 23rd, 2003 by Cinema EyeEmpire Magazine recently caught Quentin Tarantino at his most riled up. The interview will appear in their November issue (on stands September 26). In the interview Tarantino mentions something that happend when he screened KILL BILL for director Luc Besson and “actor” Keanu Reeves.
“I watched Keanu watching and I suddenly felt it,’ said Tarantino. “You know, my guys are all real. There’s no computer ***censored*** around. I’m sick to death of all that ***censored***. This is old school with ***censored*** cameras. If i’d wanted all that computer game bullshit, I’d have gone home and stuck my dick in my Nintendo.
“This CGI bullshit is the death knell of cinema. Movies are far too ***censored*** expensive at the moment and it’s killing the ***censored*** art form. The way it’s going, in ten year’s time it will officially be killed.”
Check out Empire’s November issue for more details including some revelations about KILL BILL VOLUME 2. “Vol 1 is a pure burst of adrenaline. Two we slow it down a little bit, you get to know the characters more, especally Bill; he’s in every other ***censored*** frame. Two’s more like my other movies, the dialogue comes to the fore, and it’s more chronologically ***censored***. And it really ain’t gonna end pretty.”
