The Art of War 2 - Snipes Returns
October 8th, 2007 by Chris Blagden
I like Wesley Snipes, he has done some great films and some real cheesy ones but even the bad ones have a strange allure about them. Be it battling vampires in the Blade trilogy or rescuing hostages in Passenger 57 Mr Snipes makes a decent flick.
Of course the actor has been a bit troubled of late with the US authorities chasing him and while his next picture is not called ‘Fugitive from Justice’ it most certainly is a sequel to his 2000 action movie ‘The Art of War’.
The original ‘Art of War’ had Wesley Snipes playing Neil Shaw, a Special Forces undercover operative working for the United Nations who became framed for the murder of an ambassador which he did not commit. Flash forward 7 years and a sequel which won’t be in cinemas has recently finished filming starring Anthony ‘Treach’ Criss as Neil Shaw.
That film is now apparently being renamed as ‘Intervention’ at the last minute to avoid confusion and is no longer the sequel to ‘The Art of War’.
Snipes instead will return in the actual sequel, a firm indicator that he is getting his career back on track.
