Victor Salva:BODY SNATCHER
Victor Salva has confirmed his involvement in the remake of INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. “I think it’s just one of the best ideas that any writer has ever come up with and that’s why it translates so well in each incarnation,” Salva told the BBC. Before directing SNATCHERS, Salva may direct a ghost story entitled LIGHTHOUSE or THE WATCH, a WW2 horror flick.

David Lynch for free
If you’ve ever been curious about David Lynch’s official website, you can now check it out for free. Davidlynch.com is offering free 7 day memberships. This means you can check out Lynch’s bizarre web-only content. This includes series like RABBITS, CANNES DIARIES, DUMBLAND and AXXON N. If you’re a David Lynch fan, check it out.

Wim Wenders goes digital
Art-house fave Wim Wenders is preparing a digital project to be produced by IFC’s InDigEnt. Script is by Wenders and Michael Meredith, based on a story by Wenders. IFC is co-financing the project with Wenders and German-based Reverse Angle International.

Caleb Carr talks EXORCIST
Horror Express has scored an interview with novelist and screenwriter Caleb Carr regarding all of the controvery surrounding EXORCIST:THE BEGINNING. Carr doesn’t pull any punches. It will be interesting to see if this film is as bad as Carr thinks it is, and whether Morgan Creek can salvage it.

THE FLY gets re-made… again!
Variety reports that Fox Searchlight will be producing a re-make of THE FLY helmed by commercial director Todd Lincoln. This will be Lincoln’s feature directorial debut. One of the elements that Lincold is reportedly adding to the script is the ability of the Fly to actually… fly! THE FLY joins the ranks of a slew of upcoming horror re-makes including DAWN OF THE DEAD, SUSPIRIA and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.

THE RING comes to comics.
Dark Horse Comics will be bringing THE RING to U.S. comic book shelves. The project will be an English-language edition of the popular Japanese manga by Hiroshi Takahashi & Misao Inagaki. The U.S. version will be presented in the increasingly non-western format, which means you have to read it from back to front. THE RING will be a 304 page softcover graphic novel in the popular 5” x 7” format.
