Filmmakers’ Lounge at Hyatt Regency Hotel
This year, Filmmakers’ Lounge will be located at the Hyatt Regency on King Street West. The Lounge will be part of the Festival’s Industry Centre and will be the site for our panels and industry sessions, as well as a place to meet, work or take a break. Establish connections with key industry people, hang out with old friends and make new ones in the global film community.
TIFF Rising Stars
Apply Now for 2011 TIFF Rising Stars
Apply now to become one of this year’s TIFF Rising Stars. This new initiative is designed to discover the next generation of made-in-Canada international talent. The programme takes place at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, and showcases four actors who have proven themselves ready to expand their film careers beyond Canada to the world.
RBC Emerging Filmmakers Competition
Vote for the Fan Favourite of this year’s RBC Emerging Filmmakers Competition
RBC and Talent Lab present the Emerging Filmmakers Competition in support of up-and-coming filmmakers. The idea was simple: give filmmakers a video camera, $500 and ask them to create something original on the subject of family. A jury appointed by the Toronto International Film Festival has selected their top five, and now it’s your chance to vote for your favourite short and give an emerging filmmaker a shot at winning the Fan Favourite Award, which will be presented at the 2011 Festival.
