Arriving in Berlin for the World Cup finals, Eyal, an Israeli kibbutznik, and Rana, a Palestinian living in Paris, meet accidentally, and what begins as sexual attraction evolves into something deeper. Of course, all this is tested as the second Israeli-Lebanon war breaks out.
Celebrated at the Sundance Film Festival along with a nomination for a Grand Jury prize, the film’s honest performances, intelligent script, and youthful energy, transcend clichés and reveal two people whose common feelings of ruthlessness connect them more closely than the cultural conflicts that divide them.
ABOUT TORONTO JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL
