Toronto – Eh! U Meet The Europeans - European Film Festival announced today their impressive 2009
line-up of international award winners and national hits. The largest European Film Festival in Toronto
celebrates its fifth edition and runs November 19 to December 3, 2009, in three major theatres of the city :
Bloor Cinema, The Royal and Odeon Varsity Complex.
The festival will feature 26 movies from 23 European countries: a beautiful celebration of the diversity of
Europe in the heart of the most multicultural city of the world. Cannes 2009 Golden Palm (The White
Ribbon) and Grand Prix (A Prophet) to name but a few reflect wonderfully the 2009 programming’s richness.
Lars Henriksson, Honorary Consul of Sweden, who is coordinating the Eh!U European Film Festival, as the
cultural highlight of the Swedish Presidency of the European Union, is delighted that “this edition will
showcase so many award-winning and Academy Award Nomination films.” He also admitted that “the fifth

busy schedule of the Torontonian festivals.”
