TRAILER: A Scanner Darkly

The long-awaited A SCANNER DARKLY looks like it is finally going to be released this July. The release date has been moved more times than I can count, but I think it is actually going to hit theaters in July. Adding weight to this theory is a full-length trailer which has just hit the web. This trailer is way better than the last one and does a great job of hinting at the story of the movie instead of trying to look like some super-cool thriller. From what I’ve seen, there is a lot of comedy in this movie to go with all of the sci-fi mind-bending weirdness. So check it out and let us know what you think. Is it going to be a groundbreaking work of animation? Or does it look like somebody went crazy with Photoshop filters. Discuss!

Philip K. Dick is one of my all time favorite writers, his sci-fi stories always go from one extreme to the other, although this is gonna be another drug movie like fear and loathing in los vegas, or independant film like, we could all use a change of whats movies are out there right now, cant wait to see it…
