New Superhero Installments

Warner Bros are making plans for sequels to the hit movie “Batman Begins” and much hyped “Superman Returns,” with directors Christopher Nolan and Bryan Singer likely to return to work on the two movies.
One possible idea that is being examined is whether director Bryan Singer could direct a “Superman Returns” sequel after he finishes Warner’s remake of sci-fi thriller “Logan’s Run” which he is likely to direct when shooting commences this autumn in Canada. The idea being that any sequel to Superman could probably be shot in Canada also, either in whole or in part.
Just when the “Batman Begins” sequel would actually begin shooting is also not readily apparent but production on the movie would probably commence before any Superman film and released so that it would not coincide with the “Superman” sequel. In all likelihood expect these blockbuster sequels around 2008 and 2009.
“Superman Returns” is already considered one of the most expensive movies in recent times with an unofficial budget of around $180 million US dollars. Studio executives are probably hoping that Superman as a franchise has a much greater appeal and wider reach than other superhero themed films and that this will be reflected in the eventual box office returns upon theatrical and DVD release.

I’m still not sure what I think about the new Superman movie, but I’m ready for BATMAN CONTINUES
