WATCHMAN movie cancelled

According to Variety, Paramount has pulled the plug on WATCHMEN, the feature length adaptation of the classic Alan Moore/Dave Gibbons graphic novel. This was scheduled to be directed by Paul Greengrass (THE BOURNE SUPREMACY), but no cast had yet been signed. The cancellation of this project comes amidst major changes at Paramount as Brad Grey takes over from former studio chief Donald DeLine. The producers may be taking to project around to other studios.
