Weekend Box Office (Jan9-11) Estimates

Clint Eastwood’s GRAN TORINO makes #1 this weekend at the box-office after going into wide release. GRAN TORINO has grossed about $40 million so far, making a tidy profit over its $25 million cost. GRAN TORINI is doing much better than CHANGELING, the other Eastwood film that opened a few weeks prior. Second and third are BRIDE WARS and THE UNBORN - two new releases.
Numbers are still healthy at the box-office proving once again that everyone goes to the movies during recessionary times.
