Wes Craven's RED EYE poster

May 28th, 2005 by Cinema Eye

With RED EYE, Wes Craven will hopefully erase some of the negative buzz that still lingers around his name after the CURSED fiasco. With this movie Craven moves away from the supernatural horror stuff and tries his hand at a more straightforward thriller. The plot involves a terrorist (Cillian Murphy) who is planning to kill the secretary of homeland defense. Rachel McAdams is somehow used as a pawn in this plot and must figure out how to escape her captor and stop the assassination. So far the promotional materials have been a little bland and I think this poster follows this trend. I think the hand motif was used to much better effect in the poster for THE DEVILS REJECTS, but you can judge for yourself.
