News on THE WOODS

If you happened to see a little indie flicked entitled May, you will know the name Lucky McKee. May was his directorial debut and it quickly became a cult favorite after being quietly released on video. Now McKee is directing his first studio film, entitled The Woods.

This is a preview image recently featured in Entertainment Weekly:

Set in 1965, The Woods is set in an all-girls private school and concerns mysterious occurrences in the woods surrounding the school. The film stars Agnes Bruckner, Patricial Clarkson and BRUCE CAMPBELL!

Bruce Campbell posted this information on http://www.bruce-campbell.comhis official site[/url]:

“I play Joe Fasulo, a semi-nerd father of the lead girl. Think the original The Haunting, set in 1965. It’s directed by a new filmmaker named Lucky McKee - he did a cool little indie called “May” that made some noise a year ago. This is his first studio movie.”

We’ll keep you up to date on the progress of The Woods. In the meantime, buy or rent May.
