TERMINATOR 4 to feature new franchise character

TERMINATOR 4 is officially going ahead despite the fact that Arnie is currently tied up being governor of California. While T3’s Claire Danes and Nick Stahl will be returning, the franchise owners are looking for a new franchise character to keep the series chugging along.  Screenwriter John Brancato (CATWOMAN) has been brought on board and apparently Jonathan Mostow will also return to the directors chair.

Screenwriter John Brancato recently told Latino Review: “We did have to think about a new franchise character. He [Arnie} couldn’t carry the movies anymore. So that caused us to have, I think, a pretty novel approach about what the new terminator would be like. What directions would it go in. Again, they made me actually sign things that I would not leak. As much as I would like to brag about the script, I can’t really tell you.”
