PINEAPPLE EXPRESS is the new strain of weed purchased by lazy stoner Dale Stenton (Seth Rogen).  When he tosses the roach out after witnessing a killing by a dangerous drug lord (Gary Cole) and a crooked cop (Rosie Perez), it is traced back to Dale and his dealer Saul Silver (James Franco).  The rest of the film has the two, striking up an unlikely friendship, on the run.

BOTTLE SHOCK (will not reveal the reason of the title as that would be a story spoiler) traces the struggles of Jim Barrett (Bill Pullman) in the making of the perfect chardonnay at his Napa Valley vineyard.  Before the bank forecloses, he has to win a blind wine test engineered by a Brit in Paris (Alan Rickman) in order to boost sales.

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO MONSANTO is French journalist Marie-Monique Robin’s documentary tracing the questionable practices of American company Monsanto – the result of her 3 year long investigation.

Catherine Breillat has never failed to shock less impress audiences with her strong points of view in her past films.  Her films offer her female slant on sex and she has not been afraid of display of graphic sex on the screen.  From early works like 36 FILETTE, ROMANCE to my favourite A MA SOUER! (FAT GIRL), this director compromises nothing.

JUST BURIED is first time director Chaz Thorne’s black comedy involving so-called murder and owning a funeral home.
